25 Dec Message to all Western Province Athletics (WPA) members
It is that time of the year where we once again find ourselves in the midst of the holiday season.
As you all know the year 2020 has presented unique challenges and has been particularly tough and daunting for all of us.
We wish to thank you all for your patience and support during these exceptionally difficult times.
The festive season is perhaps the perfect time for reflection for everyone to recharge their batteries by spending quality time with family and loved ones.
We however need to remind ourselves to act responsibly during the upcoming days as we fight this devastating pandemic. By being responsible and displaying the correct attitude and behaviour, we are confident that together we can overcome this so that we will be back practising our beloved sport soon.
With so many of our members having lost loved ones, colleagues, or friends, we urge all of you to reach out to each other and treat those who are in need with the kindness and empathy that they deserve.
