Western Province Athletics Cross country Trials Entries – 5 September 2021 – ENTRIES CLOSED
How the entries work:
Please click on your race below to enter.
Each race have a limit of 60 athletes.
Entries are open from Tuesday 31 August 2021 at 12h00 till Thursday 2 September 2021 at 17h00, or when the limit is reached.
Clubs/Parents/Athletes are reminded to please only enter the athletes once only, as entries can be edited thereafter should there be a need to. Clubs are urged to please avoid duplicating athletes, as the Google form automatically closes once the limit of 60 has been reached
RULES FOR THE WPA CROSS COUNTRY TRIALS UNDER ADJUSTED LEVEL 3 COVID 19 REGULATIONS
Please make sure that your athlete arrives at the event in time to complete the COVID 19 screening.
No spectators will be allowed to enter the venue. Only athletes will be allowed in the venue.
Once your event has been completed you will need to leave the venue immediately. The security personnel and COVID 19 officers will assist.
There will be a holding area (for drop-off purposes) for parents of junior athletes and transport operators outside of the venue.
Masks must be worn upon entering the venue and may only be removed once you are under starters orders. The mask must be replaced immediately after completing your event.
This event is the WPA Cross Country trials and will be limited to athletes only and is a pre-entry event with all entries being done online at the WPA Website www.wpa.org.za . (the entry link on the WPA website will be open for the Junior event from Tuesday 24 August 2021 at 12h00 to Thursday 26 August 2021 at 17:00, and for the Senior & Master event the link will be open from Tuesday 31 August 2021 at 12h00 to Thursday 2 September 2021 at 17:00). The juniors will pay R10 per entry and seniors and masters will pay R30.
The Event Permit under these regulations allows only 100 people at the venue and this will be strictly enforced.
The maximum of 60 athletes will be allowed into the venue at any one time.
The additional 40 persons at the venue will include marshals, officials, services providers (medical, security, safety and COVID officers), as per the Event Permit requirements.
Race Card collection will be at Youngsfield
Seniors and Masters -Saturday 4 September from 08:00 to 10h00
REQUEST THAT ONE MEMBER PER CLUB TO PAY AND COLLECT
The trials are open to athletes registered with WPA and who are in possession of valid 2021 license numbers.
Please observe the timeslots for the event (do not arrive at 08:00 for an event at 14:00). Please note that only pre entered athletes will be allowed to enter the venue.
