The Absa RUN YOUR CITY (RYC) WARM UP RUN #4 powered by PUMA NITRO will take place at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA) in Newlands this coming Friday (29 April 2022) at 06:30 and is open to all eager road runners and Absa RYC Series supporters in celebration of the 7th annual Absa RYC CAPE TOWN 10K that will take place on Sunday 15 May.
“The Absa RYC WARM UP RUN powered by PUMA NITRO is the perfect opportunity for the Absa RYC Community to enjoy a bi-weekly 5km run together in the build up to the 2022 Absa RYC CAPE TOWN 10K,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RYC Series. “The first three WARM UP RUNS have been the source of much excitement. We are thankful for the support that we continue to receive from the RYC diehards, but we are also thrilled to have welcomed a lot of newcomers to the WARM UP RUNS. On the last two occasions we’ve been privileged to have a very inspirational 80-year-old runner join us for the 5km run.”

“The second last warm up run to be held in Cape Town, WARM UP RUN #4 will take place this coming Friday,” continues Meyer. “The run is open to runners of all ages and is free of charge. The only prerequisite is to ‘bring the gees’. Once your run is completed, be sure to stick around for the lucky draw. There are awesome prizes up for grabs compliments of the event’s footwear and apparel partner, PUMA. These prizes will include (but are not limited to) a PUMA hamper to the value of R 5 000, a pair of PUMA NITRO Running Shoes and a selection of PUMA apparel items. We look forward to catching up with existing friends and making new friends at the Absa RYC WARM UP RUN #4 powered by PUMA NITRO.”
The Absa RYC Series recently welcomed the Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA) as the official health and fitness content sponsor of SA’s leading 10km road running series in 2022.
