The WPARR Commission proposes that virtual events be promoted in a similar manner to Fun Runs. To avoid event clashes going forward it is suggested that the dates for virtual events are managed via the WPA Fixtures Standing Committee. If virtual events are organized as a fund-raising initiative, due to the current financial situation WPA finds itself in, we appeal to clubs to consider making a financial contribution to the WPA fund to support athletes currently in financial difficulty. As from Friday, 1 May 2020 people may run, jog, cycle or walk within a 5 km radius from their homes between 06:00 and 09:00. These include area such as: Sea Point promenade (the paved area, and not the grass, or play area); Muizenberg to St James walkway; Strand promenade, Willis Walk in Simon’s Town; Kommetjie walkway to lighthouse; Government Avenue next to the Company’s Garden; and all other publicly accessible boardwalks or pathways...
